The Ministry of Health Wellness and the Environment continues to strengthen its capacities particularly in the area of preparedness, control, and response. Consequently, the Ministry recently held a refresher training for Milton Cato Memorial Hospital staff on the grounds of NEMO. The training was to retool staff in the use of the Isolation Transportation Trolley and the Mobile Isolation System.
Both systems are equipped with Air Filter which cleans the air before it is released into the atmosphere. Additionally, the Tent comes with mobile AC units, Ozone generators ( to create negative air pressure so they it can be cleaned before being expelled into the atmosphere), chairs tables, tabletop autoclaves, garbage cans and a quantity of personal protection equipment (PPE’s). Both sets of equipment were procured through a partnership with NEMO on a Japanese project.
